WHY YOU’RE NOT BUILDING MUSCLES | Ghizayat


• Let’s start with the more obvious reason. NO Compound lifts in your training routine. Compound movements are KEY when it comes to building more muscle, reason is Compound movements use multiple muscles to do the 1 exercise.
• f.ex: Deadlift, Squat, Bench Press, Overhead Press, etc. The goal here is to get stronger over time BUT by using the CORRECT lifting form🏆
• Not enough sleep. Now if you’re experienced with the training you know how important it is for your body to rest and recompensate from a workout. If you don’t.. well now you know why you’re not where you want to be in the fitness🤔 Get GOOD sleep.
• Not enough calories. For your body to have enough energy to grow your muscles, you need to eat more calories than you burn per day. When you consume fewer calories than you burn, the body breaks down muscle as a source of energy. You need to eat adequate protein and enough carbohydrates so that the body doesn’t turn to protein as an energy source. The amount of calories that your body needs depends on your weight, metabolism, and the intensity of your workouts.
• Low Intensity. So this one kind of goes with the compound lifts. If you’re doing up to 50 reps when it comes to Bench Press, and you still don’t feel much. UP the WEIGHT. Up the intensity. Put more weight and WORK. If you’re afraid of injury, decrease weights & slowly push up&down when doing your exercise to feel the muscle work.
• Too Much Stress. Oh, when am I getting abs? When are my arms going to be 20 inches, why isn’t my Chest breaking my shirts yet?? Calm down, stress irritates the muscles and gives them no rest to build up. Live life, be happy and continue, trust the process🏆
• And Finally, PROTEIN. You NEED protein to build muscles. It’s just a fact, you need to eat enough protein to build and preserve your muscles before and/or after a workout. I recommend 0.8-1Gram of Protein per LB of Bodyweight to optimize your muscle growth!
